A 63-year-old Nokesville man was killed in a head-on crash Wednesday evening on Bristow Road.

Officers responded to the two-vehicle crash in the area of Windy Hill Drive at 6:24 p.m. Police say the driver of a 2021 Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Bristow Road when the vehicle crossed over the center line into the westbound lane, striking a 2003 Lexus GX head on.

The impact of the crash caused the Lexus to spin off the roadway and come to a rest in the ditch while the Tundra remained on the roadway, Prince William County police Officer Joshua Spiler said in a news release.

The driver and sole occupant of the Lexus, 63-year-old Thomas Spencer Stark, was taken to an area hospital where he died, Spiler said.

The driver and sole occupant of the Tundra, a 61-year-old Woodbridge man, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Investigators determined speed was not a factor for the driver of the Tundra, Spiler said. He did not release details on what might have caused the crash, saying in an email the case remains under investigation.
