Tracy Blake, Neabsco district school board member

Tracy Blake takes his oath of office at the School Board swearing-in ceremony in 2023.

The Prince William County School Board unanimously elected Tracy Blake to serve as the vice chair of the board at its first meeting of the new year.

Blake was elected to the School Board in November 2023 as the Neabsco Magisterial District member and will now serve a one-year term as vice chair.

Blake replaces Coles District School Board Member Lisa Zargarpur in this role.

“I think Mr. Blake will be an excellent vice chair because he goes to everything, he takes all the trainings, he is all in, all the time,” Zargarpur said.

Blake has served on several educational committees, including the Superintendent’s Advisory Council on Instruction and the Superintendent’s Advisory Council on Equity. He’s been an advocate for equitable education, mental health services and social-emotional learning.

“It has been a long time since the Neabsco District has held this position, and we are very excited and look forward to working with you as you continue to represent Neabsco with such due diligence,” said Chair Dr. Babur Lateef.

Just another DEI (Didn't Earn It) hire to set the education system back even more. Prince William will soon change its name to Prince George's County.

Colloquially, the term DEI has been co-opted to be code for "Black person".
