Morning snow totals from today's winter storm vary around the region, with some areas seeing up to 6.5 inches so far.

The region's highest snowfalls as of Monday morning were recorded near Warrenton in Fauquier County with 6.5 inches and in the Glendie area of Stafford County, which also saw 6.5 inches.

A lull in the snow is expected early this afternoon, the National Weather Service said, but more snow is expected later this afternoon into this evening. The entire D.C. region remains under a winter storm warning until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Preliminary snow totals reported to the National Weather Service Monday morning include:

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY

  • Triangle, 6 inches at 6 a.m.
  • Woolsey, 5.2 inches at 5:30 a.m.
  • Haymarket, 6 inches at 7 a.m.

FAIRFAX COUNTY

  • Falls Church: 5.7 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Rosslyn 4.8 inches at 6:30 a.m.
  • Reagan National Airport 4.7 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Alexandria 4.5 inches at 6:30 a.m.
  • Hybla Valley: 6 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Vienna, 5 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Fairfax Station 5 inches at 7 a.m.
  • West Springfield, 4.2 inches at 5:30 a.m.
  • Herndon, 4 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Chantilly, 3.5 inches at 4:47 a.m.
  • I-66 and I-495, 3 inches at 4:30 a.m.

CULPEPER COUNTY

  • Jeffersonton: 6 inches at 5:37 a.m.

FAUQUIER COUNTY

  • Broken Hill, 6.5 inches at 6:50 a.m.

LOUDOUN COUNTY

  • Ashburn, 4.5 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Lucketts 4.5 inches at 7:20 a.m.
  • Dulles International Airport, 4.1 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Leesburg, 3.8 inches at 6 a.m.
  • Arcola, 2.6 inches at 3 a.m.

STAFFORD COUNTY

  • Fredericksburg, 6 inches at 5:30 a.m.
  • Glendie, 6.5 inches at 6 a.m.
  • Holly Corner, 5 inches at 7 a.m.
