Jalen Stroman

Jalen Stroman will compete for Notre Dame next football season.

After playing defensive back at Virginia Tech, the Patriot High School graduate entered the transfer portal Dec. 9.

Stroman missed most of the 2024 season after suffering a collarbone injury during the Hokies’ season opener against Vanderbilt.

In 2023, Stroman totaled 55 tackles and two pass breakups.

Stroman received an extra year of eligibility after being granted a medical red-shirt for 2024. He will go to Notre Dame as a graduate transfer.

He is the younger brother of former Hokie standout and Stonewall Jackson graduate Greg Stroman. Greg Stroman spent time this season with the New York Giants.

Notre Dame plays Ohio State Jan. 20 for the national championship.
